Dee S. White was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, grew up in Beltsville, Maryland, and later moved to Brooklyn. Her work is grounded in a lifelong love of reading, reflection, and stories that make room for real life.
Why this space exists
Dee is an author, blogger, and reviewer who has spent years championing books and bringing a personal, faith-aware perspective to what she reads. Her motto is simple: “I am who I am by the grace of God.”

A writer’s point of view
Before building this community, Dee was the proprietor of an online African American bookstore and wholesale dealership. That experience, alongside her own writing, continues to shape the attention she gives to representation, character, and the stories readers carry with them.
